Spanish 9mm Parabellum Astra model 600, never used as a Spanish service weapon, was made in limited quantities for the Germans during WW2.

Good call LoLo, the Astra 600, or as designated by the Germans (P.600/43) was developed at their request for a pistol smaller than the Astra 400 and chambered for the 9m/m Parabellum cartridge. The Germans received and accepted (E/WaAD20) about 10,500 of the Astra 600 pistols in 1944. Something like an additional 30,000 were completed but were unable to have been delivered because of Allied landings in France and the closing of the French/Spanish border.
These undelivered 600's were purchased post war by the Germans for police issue and in the 60's declared surplus and purchased by Sam Cummings' Interarms. Most of these were brought to the US and we had a good ol' time for a while buying a good 9m/m pistol at a reasonable price. Many of these pistols were in near mint to mint condition and came with holsters and reserve magazines.

Kinda ironic that the Germans wound up paying for the same pistols twice and the Spanish made out like bandits.

And the Astra 400, perhaps the 600 as well, I'm not certain, REALLY WAS used to play the weapon of outer space villians in old low-tech Sci-Fi movies. It just looks, well, other-worldly.
