The Swiss were quite adept at producing nice handguns to go with their excellent rifles.

From my Luger collection, here's what they decided to produced themselves upon realizing they could no longer be dependent on DWM to reliably supply their needs, what with the Germans busily engaged with WWI.

The Ordonnanzpistole 06 W+F, aka the 06 Waffenfabrik Bern. This one, serial 15643, dates from 1919 the first year of W+F production. 985 pistoles were produced that first year.

What can I say Francis? You have some of the most unusual and hard to find weapons I have ever seen. It is a real pleasure to bump into you at gunshows (I get to see some of his toys before you guys do).

As always, thanks for sharing the story. And a big thank you for posting the pictures as well.
