I am new to your forum and found it when I did an internet search for "Tyrolean Stand schuetzen verband Mauser". I have found bits and pieces of info on this rifle but nowhere has anyone been able to give me an aproximate value. It is in very good to excellent condition with the exception of most of the round paper decal on the bottom of the stock is missing. The smaller rectangular paper decal beneath the buttstock sling swivel is still intact. It is 8.15 x 46R and not the single shot, but rather a repeater. Does anyone know if the rumor I heard that there were only 1000 of these rifles made, is true? Also, none of my searches has shown where I can get ammo for her. Any help would be appreciated. First let me welcome you to the forum.
Pictures would help a lot. If it is what I think it is and it is all matching numbers I have seen them priced locally, there is a local that collects them, at the gun show from $1500 to $2000 depending on condition.

Here is a couple more photos. One in the above post shows the paper sticker immediately below the rear swivel but there is just a couple remnants of a larger round paper sticker that was between this one and the butt. I think that lace on leather buttpad may have removed most of this sticker and I have no idea what it would have said. The receiver and barrel band are highly polished and the wood does not have an oil finish, but more of a shiny clear finish although it sure does look original. Judging by the bolt and mag follower, this rifle has not seen much use. Barrel is aprox 29 1/2" long and all the numbers I can see match. Quanicassee

I don't know about loaded ammo but Midway has brass but it is a little pricy.
