I've never actually fired my 95 Nagant as the ammo is pretty expensive and sometimes hard to find. I think it's the only gun that I own that I've never fired.

I purchased some Fiocchi a while back for mine but haven't fired it in a while. Saturday at the range, POP Reid told me he had recently fired his and the Fiocchi round was "wimpy" and not fun to shoot. The ammo I bought (2 years ago) was $35 bucks a box and was a hand full in the Nagant revolver. As a matter of fact it was so potient I was a bit afraid to fire it, so I backed of to 32 longs or 32 H&R I forget which.

The conversation I had with POP seems to indicate that Fiocchi has backed off on their loading for that round.

Also, I have the dies and associated goodies to make some from 32-20 brass, but haven't had time to do that lately either.

I guess it is a whimpy round. I reload it using .32 mag spec's. If you compare .32 mag to .32-20, in some loads the .32-20 uses more powder. Nagant brass is almost identical to .32-20, there are 2 main differences, .32-20 is shorter and it has a shoulder.

I've been reloading for the Nagant about 2 years now using .32-20 brass. Run the brass through a Nagant die to straighten out the shoulder. I use Titegroup and .32 mag powder charges with Hornady 90gr LSWC seated to the same length as Nagant brass.

Midway puts the brass on sale for around $17.00 per 100, bullets 400 for $17.49, primers $5.00 and powder. If you use Trail boss a bottle is about $10.00 and will last years.

It's not a MOA pistol but they are fun to shoot and cheap if you reload.

well, pop was talking about my two.;)
i got a case of the real expensive stuff from sog when i ordered the pistols, and it is loaded very light. the bullet is seated halfway down the casing. the fiocchi we were shooting was some i got at a gunshow in december, and it was light, also.
sog calls their ammo target ammo. i would consider it more "training ammo" instead. they are fun pistols to shoot, they just remind me of an air pistol when they recoil. y'all have a good day! Keith
