Here's a shot of my m38.......... don't ask me how she shoots.......... even though I've had it for over a year I haven't gotten around to taking her to the range yet...........

I should take this and my Mannlicher m95 to the range some day and really give myself a beating........... :D :grinning-thumbsup:

Surprisingly those m38's shoot pretty good. My thoughts are that the fit and finish on the m38's is better than the m44's.

My 38 shoots very well and is great shape.. However, it shoots over a foot high @ 100 yds..

I've got to get her to the range......... of course since deer season is over I've been thinking alot about what I'll use in 06........... cripe's I just realized I should use a 30-06.... an 06 in 06....:xxrotflmao: :icon_salut:

But back on track....:fart: .... I've been thinking of getting a scout mount for the m38 and giving it a try. I'll likely only have a doe tag next fall and using a carbine and having to get a closer shot only seems sporting....:hiding: :blob1:

Nice M-38. They are a lot of fun to shoot. Mine shoots about 8" high at 100 yards and I had to drift the sight waaaaaay to the left to hit on center.

I have found that the Polish light ball that is currently available is not bad to shoot. It definitely doesn't push as hard as the 174 gr (?) Albanian and Yugo.

I just bought an 880 round case of the Polish from the Ammunition Store (good price on the ammo but the shipping is brutal!).

You gotta try it WmRoy! You'll like it!

There has been some good reports on the Polish ammo.

Now get out and tenderize that shoulder!

Fortunately recoil has never been something that really bothered me.....:D

Well I guess I'll just have to make sure and take her out when ever I get around to hitting the range........... winter is a tough time...... usually when I can work out going the weather is the pits, and when it's nice (like today) I'm too busy to turn around..........:BangHead:

I'd like to put a scout mount and a red dot on her...... I purchased one of these rifles for my older brother (who hasn't shot his either) and I'm thinking about 'shaming' him into rigging his out the same and seeing who can do better with them on West River So. Dak. deer......

Last fall I was very close (40 yds) to a small white tail buck up there which really blew my mind!! usually white tail are so jumpy they are long gone.....

I ended up with a very nice muley that I took at around 100 yds with my k31 and a 2-7 power scope with a Darrell's scout mount. Either shot could have been made with iron sights, but I really liked the scout mount and red dots....:xxrotflmao:
