My very first Mosin M-91 is one I traded for today.Overall the rifle is in excellent shape. The barrel is dated 1943 and the receiver is dated 1904.Obviously this is a late WWII Finn rework. It has a Tikka barrel with 100% blueing that looks as if it has never been fired. The bore is very very shiny and rifling is pronounced. The trigger has been "Finned" and is light and crisp.Stock is light blond and in excellent shape. When I dis-assembled it I was very careful in doing so and sure enough the action is shimmed in two places.Inside of the barrell channel looks brand new.Oddly enough there is no "SA" stamp. The receiver and bolt match but the butt plate doesn't and the magazine floor plate is un-numbered.I'm hopeful that this is the shooter M-91 I have been looking for.
If I can get DOG to take some pictures I'll get them posted.

Sounds like you could do a lot worse for a "M-91 shooter". Assuming you're happy with the purchase price, I'm sure that you did fine.

congrats! tikka was the only maker to put m91's together in 43, and this was the last year they were made. (i know, i know, some were assembled post war, but 43 was the last date). hope it's a good shooter for ya!

btw, check for hidden suprises. the first 43 tikka i found was made on an m27 receiver, and has the slots cut for the winged bolt connector.

y'all have a good day! Keith
