From the SCACA show last weekend, added this Army accepted Mauser 1914 to the pocket pistol collection.

Army acceptance C/script letter in front of the rear sight, C/C/U firing proof, serial 133169. Mauser logo left side of slide, Mauser Banner, no 7.65 caliber designation, magazine; square front slotted bottom plate.

Pender, "Mauser Pocket Pistols 1910-1946", copyright 1971, states one of the characteristics for the Imperial Army variation is that the pistols bear the logo "Mauser-7.65" on the right side of slide. In the thirty something years since Pender's landmark research and published data, it has been determined that some Army accepted 1914's did not have the caliber designator on the right side of slide. Also some are with and without the Mauser "Banner" on the sideplate.
