....RANGE REPORT...

....I'm not complainin' but for January in these parts I would've thought it was April ....we'll pay in Feb.:rolleyes: ....hit the range earlier this afternoon-fr8dude will elaborate on his end,but thought I'd throw in a few pics:) ...temps hadda be around 60...I took just ONE rifle so I could concentrate on figgerin' it out....the 03A3 Smith Corona...(see post on US rifles section)....we must've been shootin' good we seemed to have po'd some bees that buzzed around-VERY unusual for January in Ohio....in the short time I had-once I got it down,my best group was 1 1/4"....the dude was kickin' butt with his Swiss...like I said-he'll fill you in on his end...

....and his....of course its hard to see all the good ones in the black on here...but you notice the flyer he's covering with his elbow...???:D

Glad you boys had a good outing.......... one of these days I'll get out to the range.......... dang tough to make it out these days.....:(

HerrMario shot 10 rounds with my Swiss 1911 and his first 4 shots were planted very nicely inside the 9 and 10 rings. Charged 6 more rounds and proceded to migrate north with his shots. Had a real sweet grouping going too. He started out with a problem with the A3 feeding. Someone had put the follower and spring in backwards. Now knowing Mario and the fact that these are new to him he carefully took things apart and put them back the same way they were when he started. Since both rifles (he found the other one at home the same way) had this problem it is reasonable to assume that the person at the post where these had been used must not have been a gun bearing vet. He let me pop a cap on a few rounds and she is SWEET.

Great story and pictures too guys, thanks for posting. Nice rifles, decent looking range, and of course you guys are a strange looking lot! :eek:

Pig-poop = okay, chicken poop = not okay!

...no Yugo Herr DOG....I'm ridin' the red Silverado you see in the range pic....recent aquisition after wiping out my old truck-and a telephone pole-last winter on black ice:( ...as far as a strange lookin' lot-isnt that kinda like the pot callin' the kettle black...???or somethin' like that...???:dontknow: :bootyshake:

dogbert is right it is a nice lookin place. its a lot like around here.
as far as callin the kettle black and such you will note you dont see my pic around anywhere!
