A couple of new purchases

Here's a couple of Mosins that I've picked up recently since getting interested in them more.

This is a 1923 ex-Dragoon with a pretty good barrel left. It's still has strong but slightly worn lands and bright. I bought it mostly just for what it was. It's has the used look to it but is a very solid rifle.

This one has a very sharp new looking bore that I hope will shoot well. It's also very solid and hopefully will become my Russian shooter.

Ooh......those look nice. Were they like that when you bought them? Or are those pics of them after you cleaned them up?

We'll the pictures are after I cleaned them up but most of the grime was on the inside. The older ex-Dragoon was full of dried out cosmoline, the Tula 1934 was fairly clean but had cosmoline in it that was more fresh and sticky rather than dried and caked up. I thouroghly enjoyed the cleanup on both of them though.:D

Stan, I missed seeing that yesterday somehow. No, I got these off of the auctions. I did go in the pawn shop a couple of times and last time in there they finally had a Swiss K31. They only wanted $340.00 or so for it.:confused:
