I'm not good at shotguns, but looks like a M12 Winchester shotgun set up in the riot or trench mode. Looks like military papers to go along with it.

The receiver kinda looks like a Savage but I'll have to go with Remington.

I'll try one more time. I think Stan was close, I'm going to say Stevens trench shotgun. I think they made some for the military, and this one just doesn't quite look like a Remington, the slide bars, or lack of one, is the reason.

You are making this tough! How about model 520 or 620. I really don't know the difference in the models, but think the 520 for sure was used in WWII. And don't ask me to quote the papers on the table.LOL
