Check your email. You sent me the file at 3:45 am my local time. I just now checked my email for the first time today.

As I said in the email, I'll go over all the issues mentioned in it with Lee and get back to you.

C.L.G., Thank you kindly. I replied to the E-mail. I think I'll just try another avatar photo. ;)

No problem. I've not had a chance to talk to Lee yet about the problem. We've both been busy lately. I'm sure we'll discuss it over the weekend.

I actually like the Mopar avatar better anyway. It's not really gun related, but neither was the skull.

This from a guy with a bottle cap for an avatar!
:o

CLG, I like one thing the most about Mopar, the ol' 426 HEMI that Richard Petty used to race with. ;) He will always be my hero too. I respect the ol' #3 but King Richard will always be the man in my book. ;)

Rockman..........I'm curious to know if your animated avatar will work now that we've changed the way we store avatars and pics.

If ya don't mind, change it back to the animated skull, just to see if it works now and let me know whether it does or not.

CLG, Roger that, will do. Lemme see if I can remember how I did it though. LOL! ;)

That's up to you. I was just curious if changing the avatars from being stored in the database to being stored in the file system would make any difference.

About the only thing left that would prevent it from animating is something in the php script. There's probably nothing that can be done about it. I know that animated gifs work fine with phpbb2 boards, but it doesn't use a script to display avatars. vBulletin uses a script, even if the avatar is stored on a third party site.

When I get some free time, I'll take a look at the script to see if can spot the code that causes it. I doubt that I'd modify the code, for fear of a "domino" effect and dorking something else in the system, but for me, it's a geek thing and I'm just curious as to what's causing it and trying to track it down.
