Has anyone any information or an idea of a source of information about a conversion kit that will allow you to shoot .22 in a K98? I understand that one was produced by ERMA Corp.

They are out there but they can be rather pricey like for one complete in the wooden box can run in the neighborhood of $1500. They are made in single and 5 shot. I saw one at a gun show last year that was m/m and no box for $600 and I didn't have the money.

Thanks for the info, looks like I shall have to stick with my Chinese copy .22 then. Here they are together.

Duncan, there's a gun show here this weekend. One of the dealers said there are going to be about 20 dealer/collectors of vintage guns and of that he know of three that possibly have conversion kits. I'll let you know Saturday if they do, what the damages are and contacts.

Found one of the guys who said he had one but not with him. He was apparently very proud of it. Said he would consider $750, but only cash. Given what he had on his table and what he was asking for them, I wouldn't buy a Hi-Point from him.

Other dealer is supposed to be in tomorrow, Someone said the saw a conversion kit on online for $350. I can't seem to get on the site so they most be down.

Let you know what's up tomorrow.

Heard that, guess there's more to it than it looks.
