I have gotten into "Vintage Rifle" Matches a CMP event but want get into service rifle too. I thought about an AR-15 HBAR but black guns don't speak to me. Being ex Navy I decided on a M1 Garand in 7.62 Nato, I dimly remember seeing one while on active duty. So I ordered a stripped grade "B" HRA receiver. Mr Douglas shall provided the barrel and my smith has mucho garand parts on hand. For some odd reason I want a birch stock.
