This one appears to be another one of the original Browning patents, made either by Savage (Model 620), or Stevens (Model 520), with the difference being the length of the tang. The picture is from the wrong angle to be able to tell.

So, since I have a regular sporting 20 ga shotgun Stevens Model 520, and the "grip" appears to be proportionally the same, I'll guess this is one of the 12 ga conversions done in the 30"s.

I'd quess the model number would probably be the Stevens Model 520/30.

Stevens 520........... figured this one would be easy as we already did the Stevens 620.........

Good Job Mosko!

BUT........ I was considering this when fr8dude was tearing me up and now that Mosko is on an even longer run........

NEW RULE:
Once you have correctly identified a mystery mauser you are NOT elegible to guess again for 3 days..... kind of like the "Radio" contests...... ;) :D This means Mosko is 'muzzled' until Mon 2-20........

Sorry Mosko but you're just too dang good...:dontknow: ...... besides this rule will allow more folks to take part!:headbanger: But hey, since you've gotten 6 in a row I could have said you're out for the rest of the month...:xxrotflmao:

I was already complying with that rule. Well, Ok, it was not voluntary...I just haven't logged on until after Mosko guessed already. ;)
