Check the Blue Book of gun values. or the Standard Catalog of Firearms, if you don't want to buy those, check the big book stores such as Books a Million, Barnes and Noble, etc. Take a peek.

What the heck is a 41 E?

.41 Action Express. It was the up-and-coming caliber of the late '80s and early '90s before the advent of the .40 S&W. It had a rebated case head that was smaller than the case diameter, the same size as the 9 x 19 round. This made it easy to switch calibers between 9mm and .41, normally you just needed a new barrel, recoil spring, and magazine, and could use the same slide for both. It worked well, but I think the high-capacity magazine ban and the rise of the .40 S&W doomed the cartridge.

41 AE I would have figured out. The absence of the A fooled me.
