DOG-Oil is my own brand of gun oil that I have created. It is a true hybrid gun oil giving your firearm the utmost in preventative maintenance protection.

My hybrid gun oil is made up of 3 different synthetic oils and a carrier oil. My oil is not cheap to produce because the synthetic oils make up almost 50% of the volume. If you are looking for the utmost in corrosion or rust protection try DOG-Oil today!

DOG-Oil can be used on:

An unsolicited comment I received today:

Testing “DOG-Oil” Gun Oil Under Arctic Conditions:

1. Received DOG-Oil from Darrell on Dec.15th, 2007.

2. Performed viscosity test at -22 f. for 12 hours outside. Results: DOG-Oil remained completely usable with a slight increase in viscosity… Something resembling soap flakes did appear in the bottom of the container, which may indicate a separation of an Ingredients, the amount was small.

3. Assembled High Standard Sport King .22 semi-auto pistol with DOG-Oil. Jan 4, 2008... Froze pistol with ammo 18 hours at -25 f. Morning of Jan.5, 2008 I Chambered a round and fired the pistol. Second round chambered , but slide had to be bumped, fired second round , third round had to be chambered by hand , as second round didn’t eject, third round fired Ok. This is acceptable for Arctic Conditions on a tight Semi-auto Pistol .22.

4. 1/27/2008...Temperature this morning was -36 f. I placed DOG-Oil outside for a couple of hours, again only a very slight increase in viscosity, the oil remained completely usable, compared to Amsoil synthetic which was completely gelled in the bottle. Again DOG-Oil passed the test!

5. 2/02/2008...Temperature was -32 f. I oiled a Remington 700 7mm Magnum Bolt, firing pin and trigger sear heavily with DOG-Oil and placed the gun outside for several hours…Temperature climbed to -22 during the test and the Remington 700 functioned easily and fired . Again DOG-Oil Passed the test.

6. 2/09/2008...Temperature was -42 f. placed DOG-Oil outside for 6 hours , again only an increase in viscosity , and DOG-Oil remained completely usable and would pour freely from the Bottle. Again, DOG-Oil passed the Arctic test!

7. 2/15/2008...DOG-Oiled my Model 70 Winchester rifle and placed it in a rack. Exposed it to high humidity 4 months later for 2 months. Result was a small amount of surface rust appeared on the bolt in July. It came off with a bit of Steel wool, so I oiled it again and it seems to be fine in a drier location…

8. 8/15/2008...Placed Model 70 Winchester rifle in a closed vehicle in the sun and let the temp rise to over 100 degrees. I observed no “runoff” of the oil and the gun functioned flawlessly.

In Conclusion, as a Gunsmith for over 30 years and a Hunter in Alaska that faces some very extreme temperatures and conditions , after testing DOG-Oil,
I Highly recommend this product to anyone that wants superior protection of their firearms under the most extreme conditions. DOG-Oil is a fine product that performed even better than I thought it would and has now replaced the Synthetic oils that I was using prior to this test. I tested this product without receiving any compensation and tested it as outlined under actual conditions here in Alaska.

I will be using DOG-Oil on all of my firearms from now on and will also treat the firearms of my customers in the future.
