Picked this rifle up from AIM last year. 1943 Maltby She cleaned up very nicely and is a fine shooter.

Nice Maltby there. I have a 1944 Maltby that is sported but done tastefully though, it is far from the wrath of Bubba. It wears a Fajen stock and it has a short barrel too.
Pirate, I had a friend that was from your town, but has since past on. His name was Walter "Billy" Clark, did you know him per chance?

Hi Rockman, no I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Clark. I have only lived In Fuquay Varina a few years since I remarried. I have lived in the Greater Raleigh area though for over 20 years.

I love Maltby Enfields, but they've been hard as heck for me to find. I should try to order one from SOG and handpick for Maltby manufactured. Recon they handpick for manufacturer?

I got mine from SOG about a year and half ago and handpicked for the MkI rear sight. Just happened to get two Maltby's. Wouldn't hurt to ask.
