I applied the finish myself last year. The Duracoat products are very easy to apply if you have an air compressor and air brush sprayer. I also applied the Duracoat finish to the metal and stock on this Mosin Scout rifle concept project I completed last year. I typically don't "bubba" with these historic firearms but I had a M38 with a very rough stock so I decided to do this project. It has an ATI stock which was originally black and I finished it in OD green. I installed a "Darrell's" scope mount and Extended Eye Relief (EER) 2.5X Simmons scope. I think it turned out well.

Looks great.I have what could be a twin to it except mine was originally a 91/59.If you are interested I found a gentleman in New Mexico that does a fantastic job on turn down bolts for less than $40.
