This is the first of the Hungarian (1953) M44 project rifles that I have finished. I purchased 5 rifles from Century Arms (U-fix-um package for $75). No bolts with this package and 3 of the stocks were in bad shape. Barrel/reciever and trigger/mag groups were Ok shape. I purchased a complete bolt for $26 and I headspaced the bolt. Passed the "field gauge" test. Had fun working on the project and the rifle turned out to be a good shooter. I can put together at least two other rifles with the parts I have. Just need new complete bolts. So that will come out to 3 M44's for about $130 total.

I,ve bought 5 of the sog gunsmith specials 3 were all matching one all matching rifle just had the toe knocked loose and had it's cleaning rod. The worst one just needed a counterbore the other bad one had a cracked wrist but was very nice all matching. I can'nt belive there only $32 there better than the rifles i was buying before i got my c&r

Got a good $89 sks day before yesterday it had it's cleaning rod, bore was good and it cycles!!!! only took 3 to get a good one
