Arrgh, wish it were mine. I need one of those for the pocket pistol collection. Came ...that... close awhile back, but just did not have quite enough $ to add it.

As far as I am aware, there is only one other pistol to utilize this pistol's unique design. And that one is so rare as to be almost non-existent.

is that a front grip safety, or a cocking device?

I'll guess a Model 1913 Mauser pistol. Don't have one in my collection, but then don't have any in my collection.:o

Well the description for this little bugger would include the words "BLOW-FORWARD " and it's a 32 caliber. It's up to someone to figure out the rest.......
I don't know if anything would come up on google or not.....:devil-smiley-1: :dontknow: :devil-smiley-1:

Well here's a clue...... if you use 'Dogpile' (rather than google) and search for...
blow-forward pistol 32 caliber
you'll find it............... but you will have to hunt alittle bit....... not far though....:devil-smiley-1: :dontknow: :devil-smiley-1: :dontknow: :devil-smiley-1:

I didn't know what it was, didn't even have a clue, so I looked it up! Not "really" knowing nor having one, or ever even having seen a real one, I'm not going to say.
I'll save my muzzle time for something I know about, or can read off a weapon in my own collection.
Another hint though "1908"

This really is an interesting little gun...... it's significant enough to be mentioned on the above link. This is a timeline of firearms history, and this little gun is mentioned for 1908. Maybe Blind Hog would be so kind as to tell us more about this little handgun????
Please..............:D :) :D :) :D

No I didn't use "Dogpile".Actually a friend of mine brought up blow forward pistols a few months back and in doing research on what he told me I was already familiar with it.Is that cheating?

Way to go Stan, well done. :grinning-thumbsup:
WmRoy, this has been a good one. Unique little pistols to say the least. I believe there are two other pistols that utilize the "blow-forward" principal. The only that comes to mind is the Japanese 1904 Hino-Komuro pistol. Designed by Japanese Imperial Army Lt. Kumazo Hino and patents applied for jointly with Tomojiro Komuro. So far only 30 of these pistols are known.
But, I digress from the original post. The 1908 Schwarzlose was one of the last firearms designs of Andreas Wilhelm Schwarzlose, most well remembered for the Schwarzlose machine gun. To the best of my knowledge his 1908 was the only "blow-forward" pistol to achieve what could be called a commercial success. The 1908 did not last long on the scene, 1908-1911. Many were imported into the USA by the Warner Arms Corporation, Brooklyn, NY and with sales not doing to well in Europe remaining stock was sold to Warner circa 1912. This did not last long and production of the pistol ceased in 1913.
For a collection, it would be desirable to have an example of the European variation and an example of the Warner marked variation.
Warner is remembered today as the producer of the "Infallible" pistol, which it was most definitely NOT. The Infallible was a decidedly dangerous pistol, probably more to firer than the fired at. If the bolt check pawl failed, the bolt would be blown rearward from the pistol, directly to one's face.
Again, congrats Stan and to WmRoy these daily guessing matches are great fun.
