soo i was cleaning my new webley mk4 and i noticed on the bottom of the barrel is the markings
CIA ST AIR VT
can anyone tell me what this stands for?

That's the marking put on by the importer."Century International Arms,St. Albans,VT".What you see as "AIR" is ALB.

so is this a no1 mkIV in 455 - or - a no2 mkIV in 380 ?
reason i ask is there should be bunches of other markings that would be fun on the no1 , it would be a boer war revolver , and either private purchase officers sidearm or issue with canceled broad arrows
but there are a few very important ones on a no2 to get the vintage/use right , these would have a 'war finish' marking if WWII , but since the carried on into the 70s there were numerous police departments that issued them , singapore and toranto leap to mind
