I am looking for a new pocket carry pistol chambered in at least .32 auto. This Ruger LCP .380 looks very interesting and I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some feedback. Is it a reliable piece? How about comfort in relation to it's size?
Thanks!

don't have a ruger, but my friend does. i have a keltec p3at. the similarities between these two guns is uncanny. the ruger is what i would consider the more reliable of the two. the keltec doesn't really like hollowpoints.
as far as comfort. it's a LIGHT gun. it's meant to be carried alot and shot a little. i can honestly say that besides my keltec plr-16, it is the hardest kicking handgun i own (i own a .22,.38 spl,.357,9mm,.40,and two .45's, the plr-16 is chambered in .223 if you didn't know)

I'd pick the Kel Tec either in .32 or .380 over the Ruger. It's a more proven design.Ruger has had a recall on serial numbers starting in 370 due to firing if accidentally dropped.I think Ruger copied the Kel Tec design.

I carry a Kahr PM9 with night sights in a Desantis pocket holster that fits easily into front pocket of jeans, shorts, etc. and I never know its there. Marginally larger than the Kel Tec and Ruger 380's but the 9mm has substantially more power than a 380 (that said, marksmanship is a lot more important than power). Never had a stoppage of any kind. A bit more expensive than the Kel Tec and Ruger. Just another alternative for you to consider.

if you're going to step up to 9mm, i would suggest a keltec pf9. not much bigger than the p3at or lcp, and it goes for $300 out the door around here

recently bought an LCP, very satisfied with it. I have used WWB, Golden Saber, Hornaday XTP and not any malfunctions. I feel very comfortable carrying it. I use a Desantis Nemisis pocket holster and it disappears in pants or jeans pocket. As far as the recall goes, Ruger is doing the right thing.
