Greetings all!

I for one, love the new header pic with the lovable ol' M-1 Garand the most out of all the ones I have seen so far. This might not make a public poll here, but I think we ought to vote on it in here. How 'bout it fellas? What do ya say we keep this pic up here for posterity? :grinning-thumbsup:

I guess I'll put my tuppence in. I don't think that an M1 is really symbolic to "gun collectors", although gun collecting can be anything. I think an older rife gives more of a connotation of gun collecting, such as an old flint lock, percussion rifle, something "ole tymey", and I don't collect or own any of those old rifles.

Maybe I'll make a couple more using some "older" guns? Just as a side note, I know several of my fellow collectors who own M1-Garands from WWII, but I don't think I know anyone that has a flintlock. At least I've never seen one brought to the range.

Perhaps something along the lines of a Martini-Henry? Lebel? Civil War Musket?

I think the m1 represents our group better. But I like some of the logos that are upcoming better than this one..... too common.......:D :eek: :rolleyes: :p

The software I'm using has two female figures in it too, wearing dresses. We could substiture two of those and color them pink to represent the "Brokeback Cowboys".

I worked on a totally new design tonight. I'll leave the current logo up for the remainder of the night and put up the new one tomorrow morning.

I think you guys will really like this one.

Ok the one I worked on Friday night is on the system now. This one shouldn't be as "cosmopolitan". I think I like this one the best so far, but that's just me.

I've experimented all weekend with different fonts, etc. and discussed it with the other founding members and I think we've decided to stick with the font I had on the original version of the latest logo. I did however add a "slogan" to the logo.

Yes, we've gotten several positive comments on this one, both public and private.

I changed the slogan text from black to red as we want to keep the number of colors down to a minimum in the event we decide to crank out some hats or t-shirts, etc.
