I think it is 6.8x43..

new round from remington...said to have balistics very simular to a 308 but in a shell based on the 7.62X39 case head.

The bullet diameter is .270 and the case is a shortened .30 Remington (rimless .30-30). What I can read on usually shows the bullets being tested as 110 to 120 grn. bullets.

It is one of those things that "sounds good" on paper. I was just wondering if anyone had any real life experience w/ the cartridge..

Yes, in a bolt action Remington I had shot it. Wait for better ammo to come to fruition, or make up your own safe loads. It is a flop as it sits now. Afriend of mine is trying his own handloads as we speak here, so far, it is ho-hum.
