A Mauser WTP I, third type, serial number 35847.
Condition of this one leaves a lot to be desired, but any example is worth acquiring, they are quite scarce.
From 1922 to 1939 something like only 57,000 were produced. Mauser was late on the scene with a pistol comparable to the Browning 1906, Walther, Sauer and other vest pocket pistols. The other manufacturers just had to much of a head start and also it appears that nearly all of the WTP sales were confined within Germany. Only a very few have been reported to bear "Germany" or "Made in Germany" export/import marks.
