I looked at the k11 when I got home Sunday. The hand guard on mine is cut the same as the one you had at the range.
I was confusing the k31 hand guard that does not wrap around the rear sight ladder.

That's just Jack being too lazy to email Spuds directly.

Sorry about that guys, CLG is correct. Spuds had a new K11 at the range Sunday, and while looking at it, I thought that there was something odd about the hand guard cut at the rear sight base. For a minute we were thinking it may be a Swiss cadet rifle or something. When I got home I checked, and infact it is a normal K11.
Had it been something "really" special, I would have naturally tried to acquire it quickly, and "cheap"!

Thinking about a range trip yet today. Need to fire that K-11 as I'll likely peddle it or the other one. Another P-26 M91 added yesterday, and an SA marked NEW M91 to boot. Paid the same amount for both, so either I got one cheap or overpaid on the other.

I acquired a long Berthier 1907/15 Friday, then yesterday a UAE "2A" I think, very ugly and nasty Enfield must be a "VUANE", I don't know but it has what looks to be a 10 round box mag, and the markings say 2A ROF 7.62mm.
Also yesterday, a GEW 98 Obie 8mm with a rollercoaster rear sight dated 1916and a 1904/39 DWM manufactured, Portueguese Vergueiro.
I have just finished cleaning them up and test firing. The VUANE will require several more days to remove the grease, from "everywhere", and the GEW 98 ejector lever is broken, along with the lower shaft part of the screw, the pointed part is missing.
I'll have to find those two parts to be 100% functional. I wonder if regular k98parts will work there?
