Just picked her up today and all I can say is very nice!:p
She is a 1940 with some nice looking wood, no shield but has the Circled 5 on left side of stock which stands for Aargau a canton in Switzerland. Wood has the normal dings butt not beaver chewed.
Has AG (AG = Aargau) on the tang which relates to the circle 5 on stock. Blueing is around 90-95% and bore at muzzle measures 7.51 and breech is 7.53, specs of a new barrel.:D
Coolest thing so far is I can't find an import stamp anywhere on the rifle, none. Plans are to spend some time with metal under a magnifing glass to make sure.
Second nicest thing is it wasn't far off the price of those coming from importers!:grinning-thumbsup: Here's a pic of left side of stock I received from seller, when I get time will take some pics to post.
