Couple o' Finns

Found another P-26 and a NEW today. :headbanger: The NEW was a straight logo and counterbored about 3/4". P-26's barrel appeared to be in the white, only the receiver had been blued. A quick phone call to speed dial #19 confirmed that to be correct.

Speed dial #19 is to the same state as the Chairman, but to a party a little further south, in Cobb County. ;) The Chairman is speed dial #8. :D

The call was more about the NEW than the P26. The seller was putting a line of bull on me about it never having left the country (USofA). I hadn't looked at it that closely and called to see if that could be true, didn't make sense as it had Finn hangers. #19 told me to look for matching numbered buttplate, magazine floorplate, and English Contract cartouche on the stock. When I went back to look (with glasses & better lighting) I then saw the SA mark on it. I didn't contradict the seller about it having left the country as I was afraid if he knew it was a Finn capture he might ask even more for it.

I'd already purchased the P-26 and mentioned it to #19 and found out that the barrel being in the white and receiver blued was the norm for these. My other P-26 is blued all over, and the one I owned for a couple of hours before passing it along to the Chairman was blued too, I think.
