Blind Hog recently acquired a beautiful AC42 but unfortunately it came with an incorrect magazine.

I happened to have a spare one correct for his pistol and needed a second magazine for an AC44 to complete a rig. In one of those fortunate coincidences, Francis just happened to have what I wanted. We swapped.:grinning-thumbsup: :grinning-thumbsup:
Here is the now complete AC44 rig (I need to hire Francis as a consultant to improve my photos). The holster is correct 1944 production with Waffenamt WaA41 and ordnance code jhg for Gustav Genschow u. Co., AG, Lederwarenfabriken, Alstadt-Hachenburg.

Don,

Great AC44. I would have it in my collection easily...
The secret about taking pictures is the light. Never do it with the flash on, and try to take your pictures outdoor but not under direct sunlight. And be patient!

With these hint you will get pictures like this one (this is my AC44).

Greetings,

Douglas

Nice setup Don. I need to get some pics of my AC 44 that I recently got. It wold be nice to have a second matching mag also.

Nice photo Douglas. I have never used flash but have been experimenting with indoor shooting using a light box made of PVC with a white sheet draped on top and three sides and incandescent floods. Biggest problem is getting the right color temperature. After seeing your pic I think I will go back to experimenting with natural outdoor light.

Some improvement. Same light box but outdoor natural light. Still need to improve on light temperature and balance, but getting there.

Don,

It's getting much better. Another hint is to use a neutral, opaque color background. The white color sometimes causes some reflection. For instance, I use a grey cardboard.

But practice is the most important thing. Try to see this as a hobby inside you main hobby.

Wishes,

Douglas
