Hmmmmm...based on yesterday's deductive reasoning.......My guess is that it's one of those very rare "22_0115.jpg" bolt action rifles.
Do I win again?

I think that those were single shot rifles (in 22 rf), and they were made as a military trainer for the k98k. They were made by most k98 manufacturers like Mauser Oberndorf, Gustloff Werks, etc, as well as by Walther i think.

The KKW trainer had finger grooves and a bolt cutout. Both of which are missing from this rifle.

I'm going to guess Model 98 Training rifle. Think they were built in the '30's and used by the Nazi party.

SPORTSMODELL, is in the description of the rifle............:dontknow:
It was used by Nazis para-military groups for training purposes.....:D
But the word "PAAST" does not show up anywhere in the description. The designation that they show includes 3 letters and 2 numerials. :BangHead:

Nazi Mauser DSM 34 training rifle. This type of rifle was used for training by many Nazi para-military organizations. Maker's name is stamped on the receiver: "MAUSER" (banner). Left side of the receiver displays maker's address, "MAUSER WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF a.N". Right side of the receiver displays German name of the model, "Deutsches Sportmodell". "Crown over B", "Crown over G" and "Crown over U" proofs are stamped on both, barrel and receiver. Missing the steel half moon ring at the back of the handguard and the cleaning rod.

Kool .22's, the DSM is almost a miniature 98 action. Interesting that the Kimber .22's now in production are an almost 100% knock off of the DSM. Goes to show what the old guys thought of years ago are still hard to surpass.
