A nun, badly needing to use the restroom, walked into a local Hooters.

The place was happening with music and loud conversation and every once in a while the lights would turn off. Each time the lights would go out, the place would erupt into cheers.

However, when the revelers saw the nun, the room went dead silent.
She walked up to the bartender, and asked,"May I please use the restroom?"

The bartender replied,"OK, but I should warn you
that there is a statue of a naked man in there wearing only a fig leaf."

Well, in that case I'll just look the other way," said the nun.

So, the bartender showed the nun to the back of the restaurant and she proceeded to the restroom. After a few minutes, she came back out, and the whole place stopped just long enough to give the nun a loud round of applause.

She went to the bartender and said,"Sir, i don't understand. Why did they applaud for me just because I went to the restroom?"

"Well, now they know you're one of us," said the bartender."Would you like a drink?"

"But , I still don't understand," said the puzzled nun.

"You see," laughed the bartender, "every time the fig leaf on
the statue is lifted up, the lights go out. Now, how about that drink?"

I was educated in the public schools, even though I missed several years because of a childhood injury. However, each summer I attended "catechism class", which is the Catholic Church's equivalent of "vacation bible school".

Some of those old dried up nuns would beat the crap out of you with a wooden ruler, one of those with the metal edge on one side. Good Lord, that hurt like Hell!

...yes,back in the mid 50's to early 60's I was abus.....uhm....taught by the Notre Dame nuns thru my entire grade school years...yes-no BS-they did beat us for something as simple as not answering a question fast enough-no exaggeration...:( and I do have a few small scars...their habits now remind me of Darth Vader....they seemed to glide across the floor-never saw their feet move:dontknow: .....they seriously caused some mental trauma to me that took years to get over:eek: ......yeah I know...some smartass out there is gonna say I'm still suffering mental distress...... :xxrotflmao:

Now that you mention it, Herr Mario, I don't remember seeing their feet, either.:dontknow: I also was taught by the sisters of Noter Dame, and I remember they had little wooden clickers that they rapped on my head. Trauma, naw, I have a hard head.
