I'm a newcomer to the Mosins having been an SMLE devotee for many years. Last year I was given a barreled 91/30 (Tula 36) action. By December I got around to collecting all the odds and ends then finished assembly. Shot her in Jan 06 and fell right in love. In 3 months I'm up to 3 91/30's & 1 Mdl44. As the Mosins increase the SMLE's decrease.
There is a gun show in Mesquite,Tx this weekend and I will sell off one of my last two Enfields there. I'm hoping to pick up a couple of 1895 Nagant's or a Tokarev. I feel the need for few Russian pistols and of course I still need to get a Mdl38. SVT's, I'm afraid to even think of the response from the wife if I spent that much. A local Gun Shop has one for $650 causing me some real anguish.
If any of you blokes are north of DFW I shoot at the Collin County Gun Range, McKinney Texas. I love the alarmed looks when fireballs detonate from the Mdl44.
