right on! it can be hard to tell these from a cz-27 if they aren't side by side. i finally had to just memorize the grip serrations on the slide to get it right. i guess the handgrips are shaped differently too, though. y'all have a good day! Keith

Nice pistol, wish it were mine. The CZ24 with German acceptance mark is a quite scarce and desirable item. The Czech 24 was the only pistol issued to the Czech military from 1924 to 1938. All of these were chambered for 9m/m Kurz (.380acp).
A considerable quantity of these pistols were captured from the Czech forces and re-issued without German proofing or acceptance. A very few of these captured CZ24's did receive proofing and acceptance (E/WaA76) mark. An even smaller quantity of CZ24's were made up from existing parts and partially completed pistols at the CZ factory. These did receive German proofing and acceptance. For some reason the slides were produced with four vertical serrations, like the later CZ27, but are actually 24's. Probably a transitory change preparing for occupation production of the CZ27.
The CZ24 is a locked breech design (rotating barrel), whereas the CZ27 is a blow back design and are chambered 7.65m/m (.32acp).

I didn't mean it was German made....I thought that it was a czech 27 and many of those that I have seen had a German WaA..so I was just guessing that it was one of those. I do not know enough about these to tell the difference between a 24 and a 27...sorry.
