So how many of you find it impossible not to accumalate the correct Mosin accessories? The usual stuff bayonets, slings, oil bottles etc. My wife is fine with the 'Gun Stuff' but has on occasion made some caustic remarks about the toys/junk/crap that just sort of appears.

I wouldn't say that's particular to Mosins.... :D
My wife is constantly asking "why do you have 15 different slings and all those knives and cleaning things that you never use".... :duel:
Of course, I tried putting it into an analogy she would understand...
"Honey, it's like you and shoes, you have to have shoes that go with each outfit, then a purse to match the shoes, and of course if the outfit has a belt it must coordinate too, then you have...." but before I could finish she had huffed at me, spun on her heals and started out of the room.....
Oh well. :grinning-thumbsup:

I have this affliction to a minor degree. Fortunately, I'm more interested in the guns themselves than the accessories. I do buy some if I find them interesting, Enfield brass oilers is one example, the Finn Mosin cleaning kits is another. I'd like to find correct slings for most all of my rifles, but the bayonet bug is too expensive to catch.

MINOR DEGREE?
How about taking a picture of your den and posting it here in the forums and we'll decide if it's "minor" or not. :D

sometimes i wish it was accessories!
i like to say i collect mosin nagants, but they are actually only about half of my collection. i just can't pass up a milsurp if it's a great deal, no matter what kind of rifle it is. makes for an interesting collection, read eclectic;) , but it does make buying ammunition a little hard.
i keep thinking that one of these days, i'll have to have a big sale to get rid of all the rifles i didn't intend to collect but wound up with anyway. those "targets of opportunity" are taking up a lot of space. y'all have a good day, Keith
