I have aquired this swedish mauser and I was wondering about this 6.5/55 roundhttp://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll354/plumbernater/IMG039.jpghttp://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll354/plumbernater/IMG040.jpghttp://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll354/plumbernater/IMG041.jpg

The 6.5 Swede cartridge is a true classic. It is inherently accurate, mild in recoil, and powerful enough for most medium sized North American game. Heck, the Swedes use it to hunt moose! You can find it in most well-stocked sporting goods or gun shops and it is readily available online for quite reasonable prices.
Get some ammo for your M96 and try it out. I guarantee you'll like it.

I got this with a bunch of ammo so all I need is a chance to take her to the country and shoot. Whats nice is it was no cost involved. I also got some other old rifles Ill post in the proper sections. All with a butt load of ammo. Any way I cleaned up the carl gustaf and she has a nice bore and the action is pretty slick for a mauser, once I got the cosmoline out and off everything. The guy that had it before me must not have been all that up on cleaning like I am. Cant wait to take her out and put some rounds down range.

Have been killing Caribou for several years now with the Swede 6.5x55. It is a real good round for 'bou.
