for shootin....slid on up to Indian Creek in Newberry SC...temp...67 degrees...no wind....sun over shoulder...Breaking in the M-39...after 10 rds. it shrunk groups to 1 inch or less at 50 yds. Turk mauser still showing promise and shooting better all the time......4.2 garand turns out to be a X ring terror...might just shoot this one in Atlanta next month at the garand championships.....the high point of the day is newly acquired nazi hi-power...what a shooter...wish that I had this one last month at the Stalingrad shoot....man I was a Bruce Willis just blasting and never missing..what a sweet shooter......my advice...git one...

It might seem strange, living in Oregon, but I like the Indian Creek range. Has a nice atmosphere to it. Of course, the company I was with might have added to that. I met Stan in SC there two years ago next month and spent some wonderful time shooting my Model 98/22 and a .45. Good friends, good shooting.

P.S.
When people ask me where I'm from, I always tell them from the "South", soutern Oregon, that is.

So you slid off up there today.I guess that means that you will not be in attendance tomorrow for the regular session of the "Wednesday Blasters".

Slow day at the office yesterday, so I stayed home to nurse an illness. Seem to have a pretty bad sinus infection. I thought about slipping out to Indian Creek myself, but did not want to risk getting any worse...but I thought about it...;)

OldHog, glad the HP is a good shooter, at least I know it went to a good home where it will be loved and taken care of. :grinning-thumbsup:
