I just bought a Colt DA .38 revolver. The serial number is 265017. The gun has been refinished, and the patent dates are gone from the top of the barrel. It was advertised as a .38 Special. It is very tight and I want to shoot it. I heard that the late colts were .38 special but I'm not sure about this particular gun. Help
