I have 5 91/30's, 2 38's, 2 44's and 5 K-31's. I like my Mosins, great shooters, but you really made out getting the K-31 for the Mosin, good trade!!! Now all you need is a St. Marie scope mount and a scope for your K-31.

Personally, I really like my Darrell's Scout Mount! Took a mule deer last fall with one of my k-31's with the Scout Mount. Darrell has them for Russian Rifles as well..........

Glad You all have joined us!:D

A couple of years back Century or someone had M44's in 5 fer's for something like a hundred bucks. I bought 3 or 4 sets over a period of time, and put together a nice collection, one each of all 4 countries that made them. Later, I found a nice t53 Chinese, completing the collection. I like the M44's myself, they're reliable weapons and fairly unique.

These were not u-fix-ems either. The Polish carbine was nearly pristene, like new! Too bad there aren't and deals out there like that any more.

Nahhh, you did not mess up. I have seen some pretty unique m44's in my time as well. My experiences are that in the 'beauty department' the m38's seem to outshine the m44's. And my experience with the Chinese t53 are great. I haven't seen a 'beauty queen' t53 yet, but I've seen some with the mintiest (<------ is that a word?) bores I have ever seen.

I walked in to a pawnshop somewhere nearby and found my first t53 (she was the kind of ugly that only a mother could appreciate). But the metal was pristine and the bore was new. Someone else had to have her ($$$) so she went to a new home (you do not ever really own a milsurp, they are really just time travellers).

Hey Toney, I had a look at your place over there on reloading. It looks nice. I joined up while I was there, and made an intro post. You and those other folks of yours are most welcome here naturally.
