This will be the last mystery for me for a few days....:headbanger: ...... Dog is on duty in the morning (take it easy on 'em Dog :p ) then Mario will rattle yer cages for the next four (I know what he's up to.. ... no good as usual!). I'll likely take a quick look in the morning (I'm hoping to get an early start but you all know what it's like trying to get a family out the door and on the way.... :BangHead: ) to see what's up. Heck if Dog has his up early enough maybe I can take a crack at one myself.........:xxrotflmao: :xxrotflmao:  :D

Well, I hate to be a nit-picker but that is not quite the "ID" that I have on this one.... it is very close and to be honest I believe the difference between the 2 maybe difficult to pick up in a photo......... can you refine your answer just a tad???????? :)

dude, just say model 1941 carcano. you're absolutely right about it. the short rear sight makes it a 1941. 6.5x52mm carcano.

y'all have a good day! Keith

Actually, the site I found it at ID'ed it as a 1891 nothing more. If Keith says it's not then I'll assume the dude that has it doesn't really know what he had...........:dontknow:

In the end the win will go to "Mapper123"...........:D

the angle makes it a little hard to tell, but the barrel shank looks round and the rear sights appear to be the same length as the m38 carbine.
an 1891 would have a hex barrel shank and the rear sight is almost twice the length of the 1938 or 1941.

congrats mapper! y'all have a good day, Keith
