I see Century Arms have 1950s Yugo 8mm, 600 rd case for $27. What's nice about this is you only pay the $12.50 handling charge. I ordered 2400 rds and its costing me $12.50 for shipping. Considering the "other" companies that have low prices for ammo, but change an arm and a leg for shipping, Century has always been the best deal.

i had gotten 1350 rounds of this a few months ago. none of mine was in cans or crates simply the little cardboard boxes. the 1200 rounds (two cases) were dated 1949 and the 150 rounds(bought by the box) was 1950. i just tried this stuff out the other day, my first time using corosive ammo. the 49 would not group out of my turdsniper while the 1950 did quite well and even had a fair share of touching holes!
maybe its just this rifle but since its the only scoped 8mm its the only range testing my eyes are capable of. all in all i say its a great value.

I guess the safest bet is to always assume it's corrosive, regardless of what the vendor tells you. That being said, I've never knowingly purchased any ammo that's supposed to be corrosive. I figure that in most cases, it's not worth price differential.

I have never worried about shooting corrosive ammunition.I just squirt some ammonia/water mixture down the bore and wash off the bolt face with it and then clean normally.
